01 / Capabilities

From laid out
to standing proud.

Our focus is simple: take hard steel, make the right connections, and put something substantial in the air. Nothing flimsy. Nothing half-erect.

01 / FABRICATE

Hard from the start.

Beams, columns, plates, and connection details. Cut to shape, fitted with purpose, and ready for a proper erection.

We take our members seriously.

02 / ERECT

We get it up.

From the first column to the final connection, structural erection is about alignment, sequence, and keeping your steel standing tall.

A little planning. A big erection.

03 / REINFORCE

Keep it stiff.

Bracing, reinforcement, and connections bring it all together. Getting it erect is only half the story. It needs to stay that way.

Less flex. More confidence.

The C.U.M. philosophy

Making erect
things hard.

A tall frame means nothing without a solid connection. We're interested in the details: a firm base, a straight member, and enough bracing to keep the whole thing from going soft.

02 / The process

Every good erection
starts with a plan.

Measure carefully. Handle your members properly. Make the connection. The fundamentals never go out of style.

01 — SIZE IT UP

Length matters.

So do section size, connection details, and what you're asking the steel to carry. Bring the dimensions. Leave the exaggeration.

02 — PREP THE MEMBER

A clean fit.

Good preparation makes for a better connection. We like our steel straight, our cuts clean, and our holes where they belong.

03 — GET IT ERECT

Rise to the occasion.

Lift, align, connect, and brace. There's a time for lying around. This isn't it.

04 — KEEP IT HARD

Finish strong.

Give the connections the attention they deserve. A proud erection should have more than good looks holding it together.

03 / Our cumpany

A steel cumpany.
With a very
straight face.

Countries United Manufacturing. C.U.M. for short. Founded by NP, with an appreciation for hard steel, substantial members, and an erection done right.

We believe industrial branding can have a backbone and a sense of humor. The look is all business. The wording occasionally has a mind of its own.

Our position is clear: stand tall, stay rigid, and never underestimate a well-supported member.

04 / Hard questions

Let's clear
a few things up.

Is “erection” really a steel term?

Absolutely. Steel erection means assembling and installing a structural steel frame. We didn't invent the terminology. We're simply very committed to it.

How big are your members?

Let's look at the drawings before anyone makes a claim they can't support. Section size matters. So does knowing what to do with it.

What if my steel won't stay up?

That's a structural question, and it deserves qualified engineering advice. Around here, “just think rigid thoughts” does not count as a bracing plan.

Do you handle boners?

The drafting kind? Everyone makes a mistake. Better to catch a boner on paper than discover one halfway through an erection.

What is your position on soft steel?

Firmly against it. A little flexibility in the schedule is one thing. A floppy member is quite another.

Think big.
Stand taller.
